Prairie Caravan is a troupe of Tribal Style Bellydancers based in Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada. We have come together to form our troupe, with the desire to continue to study and expand in this amazing dance form, as well as to promote it at local events, festivals and fundraisers.
Our roots stem from Gypsy Caravan; Fatchance Bellydance, as well as Kajira Djoumahna of Black Sheep Bellydance. But we certainly aren't afraid to colour outside the proverbial lines, and make a move all our own! For this reason, we do not consider ourselves "American Tribal Style" (ATS) but "Tribal Style".
Please visit our Upcoming Events page to see where we'll be dancing next, as well, information on other local bellydance events.
The About the Women page tells a little more of our troupe philosophy and talks about the amazing women that make up our troupe!
For photos of past events, performances and just some candid shots of the gals, please take a look at the Photos of the past . . . page. Caught on tape shows some videos of assorted performances.
If you are looking for some really unique entertainment for a function, please visit the Hire the troupe page.
